Food Connect is a European projection to tackle the food waste crisis in Southern EU countries by promoting sustainable practices in food production, distribution, and consumption.

Bringing together journalism and news consumption closely by means of gamification as an educational approach to improve young adults’ news literacy, and tackle disinformation and the challenges faced by media companies.

Informing the general public, educators and relevant sectors on biodiversity and its importance.

  1.  Inform about biodiversity and its importance, about Cypriot indigenous animal species (snakes, bats).
  2. Inform and explain how biodiversity is connected to economic prosperity
    Inform about the pan-European effort to conserve biodiversity through Natura 2000 Network and the benefits of emerging economic tourism and ecological opportunities
  3. Inform and explain cross-cutting issues: impact of agriculture, invasive foreign species and illegal slaughter of biodiversity birds
  4. Explain why biodiversity and the ecosystem services are important for a sustainable economic model

EU European Parliament for You

Raise youth awareness on the activities of the European Parliament and promote citizens to actively participate.

  1. Promote and understand the identity and role of the European Parliament
  2. Communicate the involvement of the European Parliament on key issues related to citizens

Μια Βαλίτσα Γεύσεις

A television production and broadcasting of a cooking show which has as its primary objective the acquaintance of the culture of three countries through gastronomy.

  • Project duration: 36 months
  • Funding Program: Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF)
  • Budget: 440.000 Euro
  • Role: Media & Communication Partner
  • Main project outcomes:
  1.  Create a TV show through which an intercultural interactivity and the value of healthy eating will be enhanced. At the same time, the reduction of possible misconceptions in relation to different cultures will be promoted
  2. Awareness and acquaintance with the traditions and values of various cultures and civilizations; an alternative approach to healthy eating
  3. Develop collegiality and cooperation between the native population and third-country nationals
  4. Acquisition of knowledge which will contribute to the promotion of healthy eating habits
  5. Understand the connection of unhealthy eating habits with various diseases

EU Scient

Promote an entrepreneurial spirit among students/ graduates (academic discipline of science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

  • Main project outcomes:
  1. In-depth analysis of needs, identification of barriers students or doctoral graduates face when processing their research findings into business ideas.
  2. Participation of STEM students in internships with multidisciplinary team and under the guidance of academic teaching staff, directors, investors and entrepreneurs. They will therefore have the opportunity to understand the needs of business and how their research can be applied in a real business context.
  3. Develop and test a full pre-accelerator program offered at universities, in research and business centers and incubators.
  4. Develop teaching methods and techniques for the education of STEM students on entrepreneurship

Horizon 2027 - EU Standing up for Democracy

EU-CIEMBLY is an international research project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Research and Innovation Programme, addresses the need for the introduction of new forms of citizens’ participation and deliberation in EU political life.

  • Budget: 2.400.000 Euro
  • Role: Research, Communication & Dissemination Partner

  • Main project outcomes:
  1. Theorizing Intersectionality: Development of a robust theoretical framework that should underpin intersectionality in the design of Citizens’ Assemblies.

  2. Evaluating Existing Practices: Assess the effectiveness of selected Citizens’ Assemblies at local, national, and EU levels, in terms of equality, inclusiveness, and deliberation.

  3. Piloting New Approaches: Design of a prototype Citizens’ Assembly model. This model will then be piloted at the local, national, and EU level. Testing the model in real life will allow us to identify which characteristics allow the maximum level of inclusion, therefore addressing issues of intersectional discrimination and the effects of power relations on marginalized groups.

  4. Recommendation and Dissemination: Building upon our research and practical experiences, we aim to develop and disseminate comprehensive guidelines and best practices for the design, implementation, and evaluation of intersectional Citizens’ Assemblies, ultimately enhancing democratic practices in Europe and beyond

EC IST Programme - EU Gredia

Enhance Grid Technology for accessing rich multimedia content, through research and communication initiatives.

  • Project duration: 36 months
  • Funding Program: Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) IST Priority
  • Budget: 2.400.000 Euro
  • Role: Communication & Dissemination Partner
  • Main project outcomes:
  1. Create a trustworthy platform for the development of a Grid application that will receive high level support for the design, implementation and operational development of secure Grid technology applications
  2. Maintain a new intermediate Grid Software technology which is required to serve business applications that have access to rich distributed multimedia content.
  3. Support mobile services created to allow mobile devices to participate in the virtual grid creation organization in a single way
  4. Ensure data and transaction protection at all levels through a special security network
    Validate the Grid platform with the production of two pilot grid applications to address day-to-day problems in the media and banking sectors
